President Schecter

From the largest group of spring graduates to walk across the stage in four years, to planting a “moon” tree at our Fulford Center, to being approved for a new bachelor’s degree in business program, EGSC has had an amazing year so far! As we begin our Fall 2024 semester, it is impossible to contain my enthusiasm for the possibilities that lie ahead – for our students, for our campus, and for our community.

I want to welcome our new and returning students, faculty, and staff to campus and share that YOU are the lifeblood of East Georgia State College! Our culture of partnership would not exist without your commitment and your willingness to act and to serve. If you are visiting our webpage to explore what we have to offer, THANK YOU for your interest! I invite you to reach out to our friendly, professional staff who are happy to answer all of your questions about courses and degrees, housing and student life, financial aid, scholarships, and more.

We stand ready as an access institution offering tailored degree pathways to a diverse student population in a peaceful, rural setting, while boasting the lowest tuition and fees in the system. Many of our students are first generation and non-traditional students. We are also one of the few colleges in the University System of Georgia to offer the CHOICE Program for Inclusive Learning, which serves those students who may have intellectual or developmental challenges and provides them with a variety of college experiences and opportunities for growth to prepare them for a successful, enriching life. All are welcome here at EGSC.

For over 50 years, EGSC’s mission has remained steadfast – to deliver an outstanding education and to support our students and their families every step of the way from the moment they submit their application to receiving their well-earned diplomas at commencement.

There is no better time than NOW to join the momentum of the Bobcat Nation here with us at East Georgia State College and allow us the privilege of walking with you toward a more fulfilling and prosperous future!

Go Bobcats!
